2) Assemble the Parts
To hook up the coin acceptor to an XBee, you’ll need:
- XBee 802.15.4 radio
- Programmable 1 Coin Acceptor – there’s also another model available that allows you to differentiate between 4 different coins.
- Breadboard
- Jumper wires
- XBee Breakout Board – for your circuit.
- XBee Explorer USB – for programming your radio.
- Voltage regulator 3.3V
- DC barrel jack
- 10µF capacitor
- 0.1µF capacitor
- A DC power source, nominally rated at 12 volts
